We made it to Greece just in time.
First, the first food poisoning, of all places in Florina, Greece.
Then we can pick up our vacation visitor from the airport. In Thessaloniki, the sea comes right into the city. How many people must have already fallen in? We eat Greek (haha) in a mezze pub named after a district of Rabat.
The next day we go to the market. The curse from Florina seems to have returned to Hergen, so we set off to Armenistis Camping on the middle finger of Chalkidiki, where we spend a few lovely beach days with Juna and Nuria at the unreal turquoise sea with a view of Mt. Athos, the holy mountain that only men are allowed to enter. Of those, only 10 non-Orthodox and 100 Orthodox per day.
Another milestone is the final commissioning of our solar system. Finally, we manage to install our canisters and properly attach the awning. And we get our first sunburn. A great short vacation from the journey with our travel visitor. Sad and exciting as we move on.
Just two more days through Greece, to our next border crossing, which feels very special: The end of the European Union!
