Departures at the Oaks
Next farewell after two days of work, good food at my mom's, and a lovely time for Esther with her grandmother. Today we are leaving Germany.

We spent our first proper night on the bus at Tegernsee, complete with a cold bath in the morning and a Weißwurst breakfast.
After that, we enter the Alps and Austria. And before we know it, we are through and in Italy. We spend the night directly at the Brenner. And who would have thought it, there is a mountain hike with a view of the Brenner highway.
The Penser Joch is the first major challenge for our car. The temperature needle rises and rises, and steam is coming from the hood. We take a break in the curve. The coolant has boiled over. After a while, it cools down and we manage the remaining 5 kilometers to 2211 m. The temperature is back up to max. This is only half of the Himalayas. We still need to lose a bit of weight to get there.
Big approach, another tunnel, and suddenly we are “really” in Italy.
At the reservoir where we spend the night, there is a Radicosaurus, a mythical creature that shows itself to children and tells them about peace and harmony with nature.
