Route: 80 kilometers, total: 3,528 kilometers | Elevation: 390, cumulative elevation: 14,840 meters, distance from home: 331 kilometers (as the crow flies)

Do you know the old advertising slogan about the 5 Ms? The 5 Ms stand for 'Milk makes tired men lively.' I don’t think many men see it that way, but it works for me. I drink a liter of milk every day, and I am convinced that I get a large part of the energy I need for my trips from it.

My first glance out of the window this morning showed a cloudless blue sky. It looked like another day where I could venture out without rain gear. The expected temperatures also indicated light clothing. Since I had planned a short stage today, I took it easy. Nevertheless, I started at twenty past eight.

Like yesterday, there were many bike paths and quiet streets today. I crossed many unknown villages that also reminded me, by smell, of our agricultural areas.

After about 60 kilometers, I reached the banks of the Isar, which I can follow today and tomorrow. In Landshut, once again, a construction blocked the bike path; there was no detour posted, or perhaps I missed it. With my sense of direction and Komoot, I soon found my way again. However, it was no longer so peaceful along the bank, but rather traversing through the city on bike paths, always near the Isar. It seems to me that Landshut is a lively city with impressive buildings. Still, I skipped a city tour. With my heavy luggage, that is difficult if not impossible.

It was also time to look for accommodation. The hotels I considered had bad reviews or other shortcomings, such as a price that was too high with luxury that I didn't need. In the end, I found an offer for a private room just before Moosberg, my intended destination. I arrived at the 'Room for Feeling Good' around 14:30 and was warmly welcomed by Mrs. Wohlgemut.

Surrounded by birdsong, I now sit in a shady spot in the garden and enjoy this wonderful spring day.
