After eight intense days of travel, averaging over 110 kilometers, it was time to take a break. Unfortunately, this break will be extended by one more day due to some sad news.

My plan was to visit a dear friend in Kiel, as I had the feeling that it might be a last farewell. After checking in with her son, I sadly learned that she is very ill and is in the hospital due to a fall.

Therefore, I will now take a somewhat more direct route, although I will still retain the beginning of the route through Hamburg. Instead of continuing on Sunday, I will now move on Monday. This allows time to experience other things with my friends from Undeloh.

Today, I went shopping with Dieter first at Moorweghof, where it not only looks very nice, but also has wonderful items. Most of it comes from their own farm, both fresh and canned.

Afterward, we drove to Schneverdingen, where we took a longer walk (4.5 kilometers) on a wooden boardwalk in Pietzmoor. This marsh strongly reminds me of Wauwilermoos. Many ponds there were also formed by peat extraction, just like here. The little poodle named Merida accompanied us. With her four little legs, she had to exert herself much more than we did. Back home, she had to recover on the legs of Dieter, who was lying down, from the strain.

After our hike, we adults also had an energy need in the form of a honey yogurt covered with plenty of fruit.
