09 to Lauenburg

Route: 58 kilometers, cumulative: 934 kilometers | Elevation: 250, cumulative elevation: 3,740 meters, distance from home: 710 kilometers (as the crow flies).

After two days and three nights, I had to say goodbye today to my friends and generous hosts. It was not only a lovely stay but also a very restorative one in Undeloh. A heartfelt thank you to Barbara and Dieter.

After driving through Hamburg yesterday, I suddenly opted for a different route. There are so many possible routes to Travemünde that it's hard to make a decision.

On my phone, I have 'Genie,' an AI app that assists me in certain things. So, I checked in here as well. The result was surprising and caught us off guard, but it quickly convinced me. The suggested route also includes beautiful places like Lüneburg and Lauenburg. I can get to know them with just a few extra kilometers.

After just 33 kilometers, I reached Lüneburg, which I mostly walked through. It is a very beautiful city, yet it was still too early for me to stay here overnight.

Therefore, I drove nearly the same distance to the picturesque town of Lauenburg, situated right by the Elbe. Afterward, I will take a stroll through the town, and you will be able to see the photos here later on.
