Today was all about an epic hike – destination: a mountain hut. But hey, who would have thought we'd be battling through deep snow that was sometimes up to our hips? For someone like me (1.59 m tall and proud of it!), it was a real challenge. But you know what? It was exactly this kind of effort that made the moment unforgettable.
Once we arrived at the top, there was first a reward: a heavenly waffle and an even more heavenly coffee. The warm hut, the nice conversations – exactly what you need after such an adventure. But the descent? Well, 30 euros for the gondola? No way! Luckily, we had plastic bags with us. Yes, you heard it right – plastic bags.
We just slid down into the valley on our improvised sleds. And what can I say? I felt like a child – pure joy, laughter, the cold wind in my face. My inner child was jumping for joy (okay, more like sliding movements). It was simply magical.
Back at the accommodation, there was a well-deserved hot shower and – of course – pasta for dinner. Cooked together, laughed together. A perfect ending to a day that reminded me once again how beautiful the simple things can be.
Until then, your Anne <3
