Everyone can imagine that it is not possible to go without preparation if you want to hike spontaneously between 14 and 25 km every day. Of course, I also prepared myself, well, more or less.
Originally, I had a very athletic training program with progressions. In the gym, I wanted to push the treadmill to its limits, but I decided against it. In the meantime, I could see that I am in the flow after about 20 minutes. From then on, it somehow runs on its own. If I combine this flow with my super hiking shoes, which somehow have an automatic running mechanism built in, then I have to be careful not to run past the destination hotel in the evening.
But seriously: I firmly believe that I will make it. But I am also firmly convinced that I will not run past the destination hotel. I am already looking forward to a relaxing shower and a cozy bed.
The last time I was in training camp on August 15th on the Karwendel in Mittenwald. Wander-Sven, my motivator and climbing trainer, took me on the via ferrata from the mountain station to the western summit of the Karwendel. Great, was really great and I was able to refresh my meager knowledge of via ferratas.
A few days until it starts, but until then I will write a few more posts. So stay tuned!
P.S. I would appreciate a 'like' or a comment or if you share the post. Thank you very much.
