Zack in Canada

It was a bit exciting: hopefully we won’t be stuck in traffic, hopefully everything is really packed. Hopefully, everything will go smoothly with entry in the end; I was really nervous.

I was very touched by all the kind wishes for our departure. Everything had to go well. Luckily, everything at the airport went quite simply and quickly. It was funny that we brought two 1.5-liter water bottles, hoping the scanner at the airport would be the modern one from last year that allowed carrying as much liquid as you wanted. Unfortunately, it wasn’t, and we had no chance to pour the water out anywhere. So we had to drink it in one go, and we felt sick even before the flight started. But we had to laugh a lot about ourselves. The flight was pleasant; there were nice movies, delicious food, and we even managed to sleep somewhat. And before we knew it, bam, we were in Toronto. When we got off the plane, we couldn’t believe we had already arrived. It’s really fascinating how quickly you step onto a different continent and immediately dive into another world. Everyone at the airport was super nice, and the entry was very straightforward, which I was really happy about. We also had a brief Wi-Fi connection to search for our hotel and could easily take public transport there. Besides saving a bit of money, I love using public transport while traveling because it gives you a different feeling. What stood out to me right away was that there is carpet in the public transport and really many nationalities represented.

Now we are at the hotel and keep telling each other how happy we are to be here. Even though I was a bit sad at first that we don’t have a camper this time, I think a hotel has its own charm. Mika has just gone to the gym (he’s currently texting “Gym is great”), and after that, we want to go to the pool (it’s over 30°), have something delicious to eat, and somehow manage to stay up a bit longer in the evening. We don’t know yet what we’ll do tomorrow. We’ll take it easy and let it come to us. I’m definitely very excited that we are here now.
