The first night in the tent was exciting, as it felt like a different animal decided to play alarm clock every hour. However, it was mostly cold. After a few hours of cuddling, it became warm enough.

Since we were right in the middle of the national park, the game drive started almost from the first meter in Cabrio style.

By the border of the two national parks, Ngorongoro and Serengeti, we were already able to observe marabou storks, giraffes, and of course, wildebeests and zebras having breakfast.
Just a fun fact: The wildebeests are currently migrating from north to south, but during the peak time from January to March, there are over 2 million animals in this area... and it already felt like that now.
Estimated 50km of visibility and wildebeests as far as the eye can see.

Impressive.

The Serengeti is characterized by its endless wide meadows and therefore also roads. But it should be worth it.
Lazy hippos, tightly packed together blocking the water in the river, to elephants marching through the bushes in a line, giraffes who don’t even bother to hide because it's useless, and of course, the absolute highlight of the day, baby lions with their mothers and the king of the animals himself, the lion dad.
The cubs played clumsily in front of us, while we couldn’t help but smile just 3m away.

Our accommodation, again in a tent today, but minimally better equipped, offers an almost unlimited view of the Serengeti.

Right now, we are sitting on our terrace, gazing at the stars, hearing various animal sounds in the distance, hearing rustling nearby, and counting not only the glowing eyes when we shine the flashlight outside but also the 105 minutes that remain until the last day of the year 2025, which will always stay in our minds, ends and we experience the new year 2 hours earlier than at home.
Conclusion 2025 - 1A with stars
