After weeks of waiting, it finally started! There was not much left before the first trip across the pond. After a comfortable journey with the ICE train, it was now time to wait, wait, and wait. Of course, in true Munich fashion, we had a Helles beer first ;) We spent the night in Munich and then slept a few hours at the airport in the morning. After that, everything went relatively quickly. Check-in and luggage drop-off went smoothly. The security check was also relatively problem-free. At that time, we didn't know that this procedure would be completely different at a later time... After about an hour, we arrived in Düsseldorf. There, we had a transfer and the beginning of the security marathon. But after a hearty breakfast, everything was quickly forgotten and the excitement slowly spread again. We had exactly 10 hours of flight ahead of us. I've never flown for so long before. Now that the offline Spotify playlist was set up, we could finally get started!
