Hello everyone
Originally we wanted to get up at 7 o'clock today - but well: originally... :) Since it was pretty late, or early, yesterday, none of the four of us felt the need to take the alarm seriously. But between 9 o'clock and 9:30 we all gathered at the pool, woke up properly, packed everything for today and left around 10:15. Today we had the zipline park "Hanuman World" on the program. We drove the scooters for about 35 minutes and were lucky with the people! No one was waiting in line! Normally the groups consist of up to 10 people, but we were allowed to stay among ourselves and complete the course as a group of four. It was a really great experience! We had two guides with us who accompanied us and made sure everything went according to plan. At the beginning we walked uphill in the jungle for about 5 minutes. 5 minutes sounds like nothing, but each of us was soaking wet when we reached the first platform. Once there, the first zipline started. We completed a total of 10 ziplines, 3 abseiling points, 1 sky bridge, and a "honeymoon zipline". It was a lot of fun! Each of us had a great time and we laughed soooo much! The guides were also great. Very friendly, attentive, casual, and always ready with a joke. We won't forget that anytime soon. When we were done with everything, it was already 12:30 and we drove the 35 minutes back to our local beach "Rawai Beach". We walked around the market-like stalls and stopped at a restaurant with a fantastic view. The view that greeted us was exactly what you know from the pictures of Thailand: elongated boats in the harbor, beach, colorful sea, and a few islands in the background. The food was delicious as always and the service was friendly, as well as interesting (we kept wondering the whole time if it was really a woman or a transgender:)).
After lunch, us girls walked around the stalls for a while and the guys went to a bar. We really wanted a ball game and something inflatable for the pool! The shops by the sea seemed a bit overpriced, so we decided to look for something further inland. After a few minutes drive, we really found a store where the prices seemed fair to us. We bought everything and drove back to our villa and found out.... that there was no longer any sun at the pool! Well, maybe it's better this way, because each of us had taken on a slight red touch:)).
Nevertheless, we enjoyed the rest of the afternoon outside, chatting, swimming, and letting our inflatable unicorns float:D.
There's not much left on the program for tonight - we'll probably stay by the pool until bedtime:).
We also have something cool planned for tomorrow - more on that in tomorrow's blog.
Until then ;)
