Lazy for advanced

Wonderful! I'm just on vacation. I'm not renting a scooter, I'm not exploring the island, I'm not going on hikes. I'm just listening to my stomach, which tells me that I really don't want to do anything at all. I sleep great in my super-duper bed until I wake up naturally. It's very helpful that I now kill the mosquitoes in the evenings with the chemical weapon from the spray can. I'm not a fan of such insecticides, but on the other hand, the reaction of my family to a photo of me made it clear to me that I urgently need to do something to reduce the scenario of sprinkles on my back and the associated suffering. I'm not really delicate, but the bites are spreading to nasty welts and itching so horribly that I could go through the roof. And we're talking about hundreds spread all over my body. So first I buy the strongest cortisone cream they have at the pharmacy, take allergy tablets for the reaction, and then plunder the supermarket; mosquito spray and smoke rings for external use, rum and light cola for internal use. Hehe! And then it's off to the burger forge in town. After 2.5 months of rice & co, today I'm fed up with the beloved local food for the first time and I really want something Western to eat. My sister is thrilled! Haha! And then the vacation for the lazy in the advanced stage can begin. Yaaaay! After waking up, I stay lying down and doze off for a bit. After that, I do something I never do: I enjoy watching an episode of Grey's Anatomy on Netflix. It's totally crazy to waste my precious time on Netflix on this beautiful beach. But that's exactly the wonderful thing about my sabbatical year, that I can finally waste time with meaningless awesome stuff. Great! After that, I either watch another episode or I put on my bikini and walk 2 minutes to the beach. You can have a great breakfast in the resort's own restaurant at quaint little tables in the shade of the trees with your feet in the sand. Wonderful, this panoramic view and the sound of the waves! Isn't it amazing? There's no one else here. As you can see, my need for tourist food is not yet satisfied.

After that, I look for a shady spot a few meters further. The sand is white, soft and fine. Just a dream. And then it's time to relax for advanced people!!! I just lie flat like a pancake that I just devoured on the beach and doze off in a coma. Occasionally I turn, haha, and when it gets really tough, I read a book or jump into the sea to cool off.

I'm pretty behind with my blog, the Hong Kong photos are still waiting to be sorted and edited, and the posts that are already in my head want to be written. But I just don't feel like it right now. However, I don't want to skip my great experiences at all, so they simply have to wait. I'm on vacation now. Around 6 p.m. it starts to get dark, then I watch the sun go down or go to take a shower. I found out that my iPad fits perfectly on the small break next to the shower, so I can continue watching my series wonderfully while showering. Hahahaha! Apparently I do have a talent for senseless idleness.

The food here is really excellent. I try a different small restaurant every day. In the JIP Shop, strange name, the Thai cuisine is really excellent. Mega delicious!

Stir Fried Chicken with Cashew Nuts

Then I find a small cocktail bar in the middle of the village. The first cocktail is not great, but I get into a conversation with a nice couple from Munich. I realize that I'm an orphan compared to them. They have a suite with their own pool and spend whole days in it with binge-watching complete series accompanied by numerous beers and cocktails from room service. Wow! I'm amazed. Two cocktails later, it can be said that they don't get any better when you change the brand, but we are very funny. The two don't have enough cash with them, so I help out spontaneously. I'm sure I'll get the money back.
