From Saint Jacute de la Mer to Quiberon
22/23/05/23
We have decided to continue heading south, as it is definitely too cold for us up here in the north. We drive through the Breton hinterland, which is not very exciting to Quiberon.
Quiberon is very reminiscent of Sylt.
On the northern side there is a cliff coast but also kilometers of sandy beaches.
We find a nice spot overlooking the sea and within walking distance of one of the long sandy beaches.
It is not much warmer here, but at least the sun is shining 🌞 The next day we move to a campsite right on the beach.
Here too, the woman at the reception is super nice again. We pay and can then decide freely where we want to stand. Today it is even windier than yesterday and we explore the beaches to the right and left of the island.
On the large beach there are several groups learning to sail on the beach, seems to be a popular sport here. On our side there are plenty of kite surfers on the beach, who are out until the evening as it is high tide.
In the evening it gets quite stormy and it stays that way all night 💨
