Tired but happy, we arrived in Koh Samui in the evening, where Chaweng welcomed us with its many lights, bars, and restaurants. Our hostel was great and we felt comfortable right away.
On the 13th, we celebrated Nathi's birthday. On this day, Thailand's King's death anniversary was commemorated for the first time, ending the year-long mourning period. As a result, there was no alcohol served in bars and restaurants, and the music was even turned off in some places.
So we spent the day eating a lot, having birthday cake, and enjoying all kinds of shakes.
The following days were spent at the beach, taking a shared taxi to Mae Nam Beach, where we found a small food court with traditional Thai food being cooked.
We had a great time and now we're excited to escape the tourist hustle and bustle. Next stop: Minibus - Ferry - Bus - Minibus, a total of 8 hours to... Ao Nang, Krabi!
