Montiggler Lakes and Champagne Bunker

We were at Lake Montiggl a week ago, but only at the small one and the weather wasn't quite so nice. Today the sun is shining and there isn't a cloud in sight. These colors, the lush green and brilliant blue, are simply beautiful.

We parked at the larger of the two lakes and, despite the rather chilly temperatures, strolled around it. Halfway around, we walked up to the smaller lake, where we stopped for coffee at the lakeside bar. There were still a few hardy swimmers out! Unfortunately, we hadn't brought our swimsuits! 😂

We took a lovely photo of Daniel at this spot about 22 years ago, the first time he ate a chocolate ice cream cone all by himself! A little bit probably ended up in his stomach...

We spent our lunch break on the terrace, at least Daniel and I did. Michael slept! Just in time for coffee and cake, we all gathered around the table again, naturally also on the terrace. I could easily get used to this carefree lifestyle!

In the afternoon, Daniel and I had booked a tour of the St. Pauls winery. The tour began with a walk through the vineyards, followed by a visit to a World War II bunker now used for storing sparkling wine bottles. Here, the sparkling wine is produced using the traditional Champagne method. Afterwards, we returned to the winery for a wine and sparkling wine tasting.

It was very nice and interesting, and unfortunately also very intense, so I have to end my reporting for today now!
