Victoria already blew me away, but Tofino, or rather the route there, really topped it. We left Victoria and first went to beautiful waterfalls in the middle of fantastic nature. The water was so clear that you could even see the ground from a distance. We then went to the highest trees in Canada, which are in the middle of a rainforest. It must also be mentioned that this outstanding nature is everywhere on the island. All car routes (on the only highway here) tend to go straight through forest, national park or past the sea. So in general the abundance of nature here and above all the diversity of nature here is just extremely visible. There are stone walls on the left, the sea on the right and straight ahead you can see snow-covered or completely green mountains and therefore everything at the same time. After the stop at the highest trees there was another stop in the rainforest where we walked the Rainforest Trail. As soon as we arrived in Tofino we had a barbecue, which was extremely special because we also tried bison for the first time. It actually tastes damn good! I can only recommend it :) In the evening we walked to Pettinger Point and it was actually the most beautiful thing I have ever seen. The scenery was like a picture and we were extremely lucky with the weather and the sunset. Afterwards I even found out that parts of Twilight were filmed here, yayyy. So the next day we started early and headed off on the Wild Pacific Trail. A beautiful path along the sea through various forest areas. Funnily enough, the scenery of the forest changed regularly. From rainforest to drier parts, etc., there was everything. I actually met a snake on the way. But it was gone too quickly. The water here is still extremely clear and it looks great with blue sea, black stones and just green all around. I am absolutely thrilled. In the afternoon we went to the town of Tofino, which is a small surfing town here and reminded me a lot of Australia. It is also by the sea and makes for a beautiful landscape with small seaplanes and again a view of the mountains. That part actually reminded me of New Zealand haha😂 Then of course we went to a microbrewery again and in the evening we had another barbecue and ate bison again. But the evening was over early and so the next day started early.
