We come to a cute ranch where we will stay for 2 nights. We are in a valley that is home to Wells Gray Provincial Park. A small but very interesting park.
There are various outdoor activities offered: horseback riding, canoeing, and rafting. We have chosen hiking, of course always with bear spray at hand. We walked about two hours along a cliff. We wanted to see the Helmcken Falls. We saw how deep it went down and it was indeed 141 meters without a railing.
We also saw the waterfall from the other side and discovered that we had walked over an undermined edge. If Andy had known that beforehand...., we wouldn't have hiked there. Anyway, the waterfall is very impressive.
We then looked at smaller waterfalls and bought a sterile suture removal set in Clearwater. The explanation will follow later.
We felt very comfortable at Nakiska Ranch. The owner made us breakfast. The madness, however, was the dinner that he prepared alone. Once there were steaks and once there was salmon with a buffet and dessert, super fine.
