Escape to the neighboring island Koh Rong Samloem.

29.01.2019: Packed my things and had breakfast. Then said goodbye to Jana and Lisa. I felt better today, but being kept awake until 2 AM by the bar next door with a fever finally convinced me to leave the island today.

Then went to the beach with Aliina from Finland and Max from Poland together.

30.01.2019: The night was restless. No one turned off the light. Woke up at 3 AM feeling like it was 8 AM. This can only mess up my sleep schedule. Went to have pancakes for breakfast with Aliina in the morning. Afterward, we played a few rounds of UNO.

31.01.2019: Today, Aliina, Max, and I wanted to walk to a remote beach. So we took many secret paths across the island.

And in the evening, my favorite dish: Tom Yam soup.

The beach is brightly lit in the evening. On the same evening, we went to the beach at 10:30 PM to dive for glowing plankton. Recording was very difficult, only black pictures and videos were taken. But everything around us shone because of the movements in the water. Cool experience definitely!

Then we went kayaking together with four people. I was with a heavier guy from Poland. After a while, our kayak capsized. And a second time. Even when you were alone on it. It filled with water. The four of us got a ride back on a boat and complained. In the end, we didn't have to pay anything and were allowed to go again for free in the afternoon.

During the day, we explored the island a bit. We found this outdoor gym.

4 PM: Took the ferry to the mainland. Should have notified a day earlier that I wanted to leave today. So it was lucky that there were still seats available and I could return today. The accommodation in Sihanoukville was fully booked online. But I still got a bed on-site. Luck was on my side.
