04.02.2019: After a short night, my overpriced taxi picked me up from the hostel at 7 am. I paid $ 25 for the 25 km ride to the airport. I would have paid a little less for a 600 km bus ride from Sihanoukville to Siem Reap. No public transportation to the airport means monopoly and they charge exorbitant prices.

I was sad that I had to leave the island so early. I had time and would have liked to do volunteering on the island. Just hanging out longer with the cool people on the island. I loved it there. Especially in the hostel run by a local family. It felt like being in a big loving family. And everyone on the island was great. I would have liked to stay another week. But on the other hand, the plan was to meet Benedikt in Siem Reap now. He flew back to Bangkok on January 30th.
