Day 1 After our flight to the main island Mahe, we continued to La Digue by ferry. La Digue is the smallest of the three main islands. Our hotel is located right on the beach...

Day 1
Today was a typical travel day to move from one island to another. Praslin is the second largest island in Seychelles and home to an endemic palm species found only in Seychelles, the 'Coco de Mer'. We will certainly find these in the next few days.

Day 2
Today we spent the day at 'Vallée de Mai'. This national park is home to a remnant of Seychelles' original palm forests. Unique to the park is the Coco de Mer, which has the largest seeds in the plant kingdom. These palms grow very slowly and can live for several hundred years. One nut can weigh over 20 kg.

In the afternoon, we drive along the coastal road and pass by a few beaches before relaxing in the evening.

Day 3
Originally, we planned to do a few small tours on Praslin, but the unusually hot temperatures and high humidity for this season have led us to drive to the north of the island to Anse Lazio.
The incredible combination of turquoise blue water, powdery sand, picturesque palm trees, and impressive granite rocks make Anse Lazio one of the most beautiful beaches in Seychelles.
We couldn't resist and spent the whole day here.

And not only beach and sea pictures from today, here's a 'bonus picture' of a turtle. 😉 🐢

Day 4
Rainy day 🌦🌧
Originally, we wanted to spend today at the beach 'Anse Georgette', but the weather had other plans. Since the beach is located behind a large golf resort, we had to park outside the huge complex and walk up and down through the golf course for half an hour.

Getting to the beach couldn't be more exhausting. With a humidity level of approximately 100%, we reach Anse Georgette, and shortly after, the tropical rain starts.

With the many clouds today, we are rewarded with a beautiful sunset during a sundowner in the evening.

Day 5
Today, on Sunday, most locals go to the beach. They find a shady spot, bring plenty of food and drinks, and enjoy a peaceful day.

These mothers have style. With chilled white wine in their glasses. 🥂👌

We did something similar. We still wanted to get some exercise, so we took a short walk through the 'rainforest'.

And there's always something to see in the forest.

Day 6
Another day at the beach. 🌴😎🌞
We wanted to spend our last day on Praslin at Anse Lazio. This beach is the epitome of a dream setting for us. Everything is just perfect here. The sand, the sea, the shade-providing palm trees, and the underwater world. The diversity of fish in the crystal clear water is more beautiful than any aquarium. It's just a shame that we don't have an underwater camera with us.

A little further south, we found a beach cafe that captured the rest of our day. We didn't want to leave here.
