I woke up at 5 a.m. without an alarm clock and lay down for a moment, but then got up relatively quickly. I brought my things into the kitchen and then packed everything up. Then I had a relaxed breakfast. Normally I always eat on the go, but since I leave so early, many cafés aren't open yet or aren't open at all because it's winter now. That's why breakfast is very practical, because it gives you a basis for the stage and then you can always have a coffee. Luckily, the accommodations usually allow you to use the kitchen in the morning. I then left at 5:45 and took the recommended route to Sarria. Another route would have gone via Samos, but this would be 8km longer and shouldn't be as beautiful. At the beginning we went through country roads and then through deep forests, which were sometimes wet and muddy, but that's part of it. It also got a little steeper, so you started to feel warm. It should generally be warm and sunny today. I then passed a house where breakfast was served for a donation. There was fruit, cornflakes, juices and much more. So nicely done. If I hadn't already had breakfast I would have gorged myself here, but I just grabbed a biscuit and moved on. Then it slowly became light and I still had 5km to go to Sarria. Slowly you could see a few pilgrims on the way. It was very foggy and the next part went past a country road, which was a little dangerous because the cars didn't see you until very late through the fog. Luckily there was almost no traffic, otherwise things could have gotten tricky. Shortly before Sarria I took a short break because there was a water point and I just needed a little break. After 10 minutes I moved on and a short time later I was in Sarria. Is a nice place, although very quiet, which is due to the early time at which I crossed this place. There were many lovingly designed hostels. So I went further out into the countryside again.
