Ljubljana is not a cool city.
We spent a night here in a 12-bed room of the cheapest hostel, the next day we explored the city, the market, the castle on the hill (from the outside), and the Dragon Bridge.
It's really impressive how quickly pigeon flocks can gather around you... It started with just one, and by the end, there were at least 20.
After that, we stayed with Rok and Katharina. They live nearby in a small village. Both are biologists and have two lovely dogs.
I learned how to fold an origami crane from Rok.
Before we continued to Croatia, we went to a place called soteska Pekel (Pekel means hell in Slovenian).
There are impressive waterfalls cascading down a mountain, which you can climb thanks to iron bars embedded in the mountain.
