Alexey has the house to himself

已发表: 27.12.2016

We found a very nice Couchsurfing host in Podgorica.
Actually, it was a whole Couchsurfing family, but the mother had already flown with the little one to visit grandparents in Russia, while Alexey (our host) was still working and hosting us.
Alexey is a Russian Jew, Montenegro is the third country he has lived in. Before that, he interested in linguistics.
On the first evening, we went out for a drink.
We met very dear friends of his and had a lovely evening.
The next day, after work, we surprised him with a delicious casserole.
It
was very interesting to talk to him about the peculiarities of Russian and other languages.
Sometimes it felt a bit like being at someone's home while their parents are on vacation.
We watched YouTube videos at night and among other things, talked about the craziness of Germans. Alexey played the guitar and sang, and it was generally easy to joke and chat with him.
Of course, at some point, we also talked about the hopeless and complex problem of the Gaza conflict.

One of the days we spent with him, we went on a trip to a city on the Montenegrin-Albanian border.
On the way, when we stopped at a beautiful place to take a break and have coffee, we met a dog that followed us to a café-boat and lay down under our table.
The city was very cozy and beautiful, situated by the sea.
We walked around a lot, had conversations, played 'yellow car' (without hitting :D), and had a meal in front of a restaurant.
On the way back, we stopped at a place again to watch the sunset over the sea.

The next day, I didn't feel well.
M., Alexey, and one of his friends went on a hiking trip to a mountain. I preferred to stay at home, which I think was a good idea because M. reported a very strenuous tempo and a lot of effort.

We stayed one day longer than planned, until Monday. To say goodbye, we had lunch with Alexey and his colleagues during their lunch break.
