Hey, it’s me Khalil!
On Monday, October 6th, we explored the Kasbah of Agdz — a place filled with history and soul. Walking through its ancient alleys and admiring the old doors was such a touching experience; every corner seemed to whisper stories of past generations. The walls and ceilings carried echoes of laughter, tears, and family life from long ago. Afterward, we headed to a ceramics workshop, where we watched Youssef, a talented artisan, transform clay into beautiful pieces of art. The most memorable moment was when Youssef received a call from his family asking him to craft a traditional Berber oven, or tannour, from scratch — a true reflection of how their culture values creating from the earth instead of buying. It was such a meaningful and inspiring day that blended history, culture, and craftsmanship perfectly.
the following is a personal report by Mohamed from Morocco:
Daily Report – Trip to Tamnougalt
Today was an amazing and enriching day during our exchange program. In the morning, we started our trip on foot to Tamnougalt, enjoying the beautiful landscape and the peaceful atmosphere along the way. It was a great opportunity to talk, connect, and share stories while walking together.
After exploring the area, we returned using traditional transport, which was a fun and authentic experience that gave us a taste of the local culture and lifestyle.
Later, we visited a date factory, where we learned about the process of sorting and packaging dates, one of the region’s main products. It was interesting to see how local people work with care and tradition to produce something so important for the community.
When we got back to the riad, we had some time to rest and relax before the evening activities.
In the evening, we played games with Lukas, which helped us laugh, bond, and strengthen our team spirit. After that, we watched short movies from each country, sharing our cultures through creative stories and visuals. The day ended with a nice dinner together, followed by a good night’s rest.
Overall, it was a day full of discovery, learning, and cultural exchange — one that brought us all closer as a group.
