Friday, last evening in Cassis 😕, we went to Cap Canaille , from there you have a great view of Cassis and the sea. Also, the sunset can be observed really well from up there. After I could already see from below from my beloved beach position on the mountain, I knew it wouldn't be a romantic evening walk 🙈.
At 5:15pm we left the hostel, more and more people joined in, in the end we were a group of 8 people.
Before that, I quickly made some pancakes for the team, they wished for it so much, a small farewell gift.
Loaded with provisions and of course a bottle of wine, we went to Cap Canaille. 6 km uphill, cursing was allowed in all languages 😂 (I'm not saying which expressions I taught the French😊)
Once at the top, it was simply fantastic, but also a bit scary, there was a steep drop off the edge.
The group immediately unpacked all the provisions and conjured up a great buffet, and thereby occupied half of the mountain. Much to the dismay of the couples who had planned a romantic evening instead of spending it next to an excited group. Well, that's how it is at tourist attractions, there's always someone who annoys. But they will surely find a quiet evening, we're leaving Cassis for now.
Unfortunately, the sunset didn't work out as planned, clouds gathered. But we still had a lot of fun and the view was amazing. When the sun disappeared, whether behind the clouds or already set, we started the way back. With campfire music in our luggage, we stumbled back down the mountain, it was already quite dark.
We spent the evening together on the terrace, we were too exhausted for the beach (hard to believe).
No one wanted to think about tomorrow, the big departure, but tears will only come tomorrow 🥲
