Day 36 - The two bodysurfers

Ipapashiwe: 19.12.2016

12/18/16

Hello my friends from Romandy Switzerland and everyone else.

We leave bed at 07:30, because we want to hike to the 'Hanakapi'ai Falls' in the northwest. But first we make a braid for breakfast and we have some problems with the organization of our program for tomorrow... Because the weather is also uncertain, we decide to only take a short tour in Kapaa. We leave after a good breakfast and go with Kasey to the 'Opaeka'a Falls'. The Opaeka'a Falls are not very spectacular.

After that, we also visit some 'heiau' (old temple), but they are only cairns.

Our goal is Mount Nounou (sleeping giant), it's a 6 kilometer hike. At the summit (378m) we have a beautiful view of Kapaa and the sea.

We return to the 'Beach de Kealia'. We want to try bodysurfing, because we have two body surfers from the Lotus Loft. It's not easy, but sometimes it works very well. The sea is rough and it's very exhausting. Our stomachs ache and hurt, but it's a lot of fun :-)

After an hour in the water, we return to the loft and have an aperitif with different toasts. And for dinner we make fajitas. That's our Sunday. Goodbye!
