After falling asleep yesterday tired and overwhelmed by our new home, we didn't set an alarm. As a result, we sleep in until 9 a.m. After a generous breakfast, we go on an exploration tour around the Lotus Loft. We see incredibly beautiful flowers and a variety of fruits. We collect some of them. Since we don't know all the names of the respective plants, you are welcome to help us :-)
For a short time, we enjoy doing nothing. At 1 p.m., we decide to go on an island exploration drive or a Kasey adventure. The first stop is Kealia Beach right next to Kapaa. There, we see some surfers in the water. But we continue north.
In Kilauea Point, we admire the lighthouse, but only from a distance. The lighthouse is in the National Wildlife Refuge and the visit from up close costs $5. Well, the tower isn't that special anyway.
Further west, we visit Anini Beach Park. The waves are already breaking at the reef far out in the sea, so the beach is calmer. There are some snorkelers and kite surfers in the water. We keep the beach in mind for another day.
On the way back, we stop at the Chocolate Farm Tour. A tour costs $65, so we turn around right away. Right next door, you can play mini golf in a small botanical garden - for $18.5 - each stroke costs 'guet en Stotz'. It's not worth it. However, on the way back, we do some shopping for the next few days, as we can cook great meals in our kitchen. By the way, for dinner, we have Ratatouille with Penne Pesto.
Now we enjoy some unplanned time and chill in the loft. We'll go to bed soon and listen to the numerous jungle sounds.
