Yesterday evening around 6 p.m. it got a bit windy and you felt a bit like you were on a ship. Luckily I'm not seasick. I was served my dinner at 7 p.m. There was a delicious soup with quinoa and the main course was rice, chips, vegetables and chicken. Plus tea. So perfect for the cold weather. It also tasted good, even if the fries weren't quite cooked through. Afterwards I lay down in bed and was very happy that there were so many blankets. Later, the owner cleared away my dishes and at the same time brought a hot water bottle, which I put directly on my feet. Then I lay down and fell asleep relatively early. That's probably why I was awake around 1/2 o'clock and couldn't fall asleep. At the beginning of my trip I slept well, but that's understandable since I often had to get up at 3/4 a.m. for bus rides or tours and my rhythm was a little messed up. I watched another film and I have to say that it was very cold. In general, I'm glad that I took some thicker clothes with me, because in the town before, here and also in Cusco, it is very cold, especially in the morning and evening. I'm happy to be back in Lima for the last few days, where I can still soak up the sun.
I then fell asleep again and was awake around 5 a.m. I made myself a coffee and then dressed thickly and when it got light, sat in the chair on my terrace and just looked at the lake. It was so calming and I can do something like that all day long. So peaceful. You could still hear some party music from the mainland as Carnival was still being celebrated there yesterday.
I was served breakfast around 7 and it was great: there were pancakes with an incredible amount of fresh fruit. So really a dream and much better than the usual standard with rolls and eggs. Afterwards I packed my suitcase and enjoyed the view for a bit.
The boat trip should begin at 9:20. I am curious. But when it comes to the accommodation here, I have to say that I am completely thrilled and would book it again. It's a special experience and the family takes very good care of you!
