Train journey from Saarbrücken to Naples

First day of a long journey. And right away an adventure - by train from Saarbrücken to Naples.

I leave the apartment at 7:13. Excited and nervous. Hopefully, all the connections work out. Accordingly, I leave early enough to take an earlier bus to the station.

In Karlsruhe - reasonably on time - I soon notice that the connecting ICE is delayed. A few minutes turn into more, so I realize I need to take a changed connection and arrive in Naples an hour later than planned. After changing trains in Zurich, a splendid mountain panorama unfolds behind the lake shortly after departure. The weather is sunny with partly thick clouds, warm.

And on the train, I listen to the Swiss German of a mother with her son guessing animals. After the Gotthard tunnel, the weather changes, it becomes cloudy and it drizzles occasionally.

After 7 transfers from my front door and 17 hours later, I fall tired into bed. I actually found the journey enjoyable and was able to pass the time well with reading, looking out the window, phone calls, messing around on my phone, and eating.
