Arriving at our temporary destination, Fort Kijkduin, we were relieved to be able to escape the wind for a while. In addition to the fort itself, there is an integrated museum on the history of war that can be visited here. Admission to the fort also includes a small aquarium. This is not our first time here, we have already visited the fort during our last two visits to Julianadorp. That is proof enough that it is worth a visit and is not only interesting for children (or maybe we are just big kids, who knows ;)).
Fort Kijkduin has both an indoor and an outdoor area. The outdoor area is also beautifully designed and if you wish, you can spend a lot of time out here alone. All in all, a really nice museum where you not only learn something, but can also really engage. That's what I love about museums abroad: you often have the opportunity for interactivity, you can also try things and touch them, and not just learn dry facts about them.
Therefore, a successful last trip!
