One is allowed to complain

Well then...

Everyone knows him: Forrest Gump. Not only the scene in which he decides to keep on running (which we are also doing right now), but also the scene in which Forrest fights against constant rain in Vietnam: 'We've had just about every kind of rain there is. The little drizzly kind, the big fat rain, the sideways rain, and sometimes rain that seemed to come up from underneath. And it even rained at night!' (from: Forrest Gump)

That's what it feels like for us right now.

Not everything that glitters is gold, indeed. The promising pilgrimage path turns out to be a formidable test of willpower and a challenge.

Not only physical discomfort is to be mentioned, but also the utterly shitty weather.

But there are also good things to mention: today we picked and consumed our first Portuguese oranges straight from the tree. What a relief..

Julius is still trying to make friends with the animal inhabitants of the Iberian Peninsula, but they are being stubborn.

So today 19.5 km in unfriendly weather and blisters on the feet. For that, we are now going to stay in a sweet, small, medieval village called Ponte de Lima for two nights and sniff out the country and its people in more detail.

We already had a super delicious meal at 'casas de Terra', a small converted theater, where we enjoyed homemade sangria and small snacks.

On our way back to the hotel, we passed the Roman bridge, which is filled with classical music. It's quite funny, but beautiful.

And because sangria makes you tired: good night!
