As you may or may not have noticed :D I always structure my city explorations according to a certain pattern. On the first day, I always visit the city center, downtown, skyscrapers, and if available, the promenade. On the second day, I usually explore the more alternative neighborhoods and get away from the hustle and bustle of the big city. Today, it was the Capitol Hill neighborhood that caught my attention. It's a really beautiful, hip, and above all, very green neighborhood. At times, it didn't even feel like being in a city, but rather somewhere in the countryside. Due to a bit of thriftiness and the circumstances, I decided not to use public transportation today and walked a long way. Now my feet hurt quite a bit. But tomorrow is another travel day and I won't be walking much. Tomorrow morning, I'm heading to the airport very early and flying to Chicago. I've been looking forward to this day for a long time because my girlfriend will join me there and we will explore America and especially the East Coast together for the next four weeks :)
