Day 205 - Arrival in Da Nang!

Hello everyone

Today we had a leisurely day with only two hours of driving ahead of us. However, it was pouring rain!

Although we woke up at 8:30 am, it wasn't until 11 am that we actually left :).

At noon, we stopped at a local restaurant and had something to eat. There was only one dish: chicken noodle soup.

But it was really delicious! We sat for a while and watched the family who owned the restaurant. They treated each other so lovingly! It was really nice to see! Just before we left, I timidly asked with the translator if I could take a photo of them. The restaurant owner was visibly excited about the question and agreed, and even wanted to take a photo of us :).

With a big smile on our faces and a warm handshake, we said goodbye and continued driving.

The rain became stronger and it was so cold! We drove on a beautiful mountain pass, but unfortunately, we couldn't fully enjoy it because of the weather... We made another stop at the top of the mountain, had a drink, bought two rain ponchos, and at least changed our sweaters.

Fortunately, it got much better on the other side of the mountain! And just like that, we reached our destination :).

We checked into the hotel and are very satisfied with our room (CHF 13 per night). After a hot shower, we were ready to continue :).

So, as spontaneous as we are, we walked to the nearest tattoo studio and got a small souvenir tattoo. Nope, just kidding ;)

Okay, not everything :).

Of course, we did some research beforehand and found the best tattoo artist in Da Nang. And we both are super impressed! Originally, we just wanted to make an appointment, but he was available right away and we hit it off. He finished in about two hours, and I'm ecstatic :).

Afterwards, we treated ourselves to a delicious burger for a change! Then we went to a bar to end the evening (it's already 10 pm :)).
