I am so glad Nick is back!! Everything is easier and better now. He bought a new water pump in Switzerland and fixed it right away, so we have water in the caravan again. I'm relieved because when he was gone, I had to wash the dishes and even my hair in the trough at the laboratory. I also didn't do anything with two of the young stallions that will be picked up for transport to Germany on May 10. It would have been very risky to do the loading training alone with the boys. They are still wild, I can only halter them and touch them depending on the situation. It would have been too risky for me to do it with an intern. Even the path from the paddock to the arena needs to be well thought out. They are still very skittish.
We are very happy that we were able to work with the horses in our own way. No, we didn't load them right away during the first session. We are satisfied with being able to lead them, send them in circles, have them follow us, and deal with the trailer ramp. They are skeptical, but curiosity outweighs it.
