Goodbye "WA", you beautiful state.
We really enjoyed our time with your corners and edges, as well as the thousands of clichés about how dangerous you are.
Be careful, a "poisonous spider" doesn't know, but everyone else does🤷♂️
Everyday there are just too many impressions and experiences to put into words and document with photos... but we can definitely say that we didn't just travel in WA, we lived. We started as tourists, went from one campsite to another, and went deeper and deeper into the action, finding dream places far away from the mainstream.
The travel speed slowed down and we started to truly live, with what we had, with ourselves. Even if we sat there in silence sometimes, there was always something happening.
If it was windy, you led us to the most beautiful stretches of beach for surfing, reading, and just being, but also to try new things.
On the other hand, you showed us the beauty of your dry and lively nature.
But now the time has come and three months have passed. Often we woke up early in the morning and feared boredom... the days were long and the nights short but nothing happened. Now we leave you ....thank you for the damn good time.
The last weeks were as if we had always been there and never anywhere else. Everything felt familiar. Like home....
The "backpacks" were filled with new, exciting things and we left the old behind.
It was an adventure to spend every night somewhere else, to watch the evening fade away with a view of the sun...The gang
...and to enjoy breakfast somewhere relaxed in the bush.
In the near future, it won't be any different, but everyone knows it and experiences it on their journey —>
The journey begins like a big circle on a piece of paper and seems almost endless. The days are numbered and every morning, there's one less.
The visas are expiring and the circle transforms into a visible spiral that leads back...
...to ground zero-> the starting point... Perth at the airport, where we started once. We still know exactly how we left it, unaware of what awaited us. Bad? No, awesome, it was awesome🤙
First action back then, take off the shoes and put on flip-flops.
12 weeks without thinking about shoes... in "emergency" situations we wore flip-flops, otherwise barefoot, no matter what happened.
Unfortunately, Planer2.0 also got the EDC disease shortly before our departure...
...but after intensive care at Fremantle harbor, things soon started to improve... we hoped:-/
In addition to tinkering and chilling, we waved to the passing cargo ships. (Perfect day on January 29, 2020) because there aren't many action-packed days at the harbor.
On February 1st, we said goodbye to Woodman Point where the second adventure hunt started.
Of course, there was really good wind again. The French backpackers almost proved themselves with big air, while I watched with my old, broken back after a beach somersault😒
Perth airport is history again...
and we are waiting for our connecting flight in Brisbane.
We are excited about New Zealand and a fresh start. Will we have enough energy? Starting from scratch again? In any case, all good things come in threes and then in sevens..., we shall see. We have had enough practice, but let's not forget, different countries, different customs.
Well then guys, it was a great time with you -> See you around, otherwise "Abfahrä dä huerä Seich, xssxsssxsss"
P.S. Yes, I got my hair cut... along with the normal physical ailments at 30... I should slowly get used to my approaching "bald".
