We registered in advance for the lock master last night - from Lock No. 27 onwards, the radars apparently don’t work anymore. However, the arrangement with the personal lock master went flawlessly; he informed us around noon today that we definitely wouldn’t make it to Verdun. Leaving at 10 was not really in the interest of the lock masters.
On the way, there were still an astonishing number of grey herons and mystical sections with mistletoe and dead trees.
Included today was the highest lock of the trip - 3.76 m in total.
We tried to cover as many kilometers as possible today so that we can dock in Verdun before noon tomorrow. We want to stay for two nights and explore the city and surroundings.
Before dinner (definitely camping style without electricity and water), we all enjoyed the sun, played around on the boat, and went out with the SUPs.
