Day 6 - From Wolfsburg to Hannover

Today we continue our journey from Wolfsburg to Hannover. With great weather and after a good cup of coffee, we set off at around 9:30. We have 83 km of Mittelland Canal ahead of us today, which is about 8 hours of driving time. To save time, we have breakfast while driving, taking turns behind the wheel – a good idea. The first big lock Sülfeld came after 30 minutes, where we were lowered 15 meters down with a large tanker – impressive lock gates. After that, we passed through Braunschweig and entered the marina in Hannover through the double lock Anderten, which was around 6:00 pm. The weather is good today, partly cloudy with sunny periods, so we took turns sunbathing on the deck. After the obligatory test, we were treated to dinner at the outdoor restaurant lighting. Then we played Skat and Rosa and Oskar briefly visited us, they docked outside the harbor.

PS: The cloud pictures were taken while sunbathing, they sort of flew by above us.
