Day 5 - Burg to Wolfsburg

Last night we arrived in Burg, no harbor, no service, just nothing. The plan for today is to reach Wolfsburg, which is a long drive of 80 km, with some surprising (positive) events. Shortly after leaving, we encountered the first major lock just before crossing the Elbe. The lock height was 15 meters and we had to lock as a package, which means that a second smaller boat docks with us in the lock. It was a smaller blue sailboat with a diesel engine. We got to talking, on the boat were Rosa and Oskar who are fulfilling a dream, taking a 6-month break and the goal is to reach the Mediterranean Sea via inland waterways in 2 months, cruise there for 4 months, and then sell the boat. After that, they will start a new job each, great. Oskar had a drone with him and filmed the crossing of the Elbe, check it out👍 Then we drove a long way on the Mittelland Canal to Wolfsburg. We got a berth in the harbor there and were excited because there is a Greek restaurant on the premises, which unfortunately was still closed. So we ordered food again and just as the food was delivered, Rosa and Oskar also arrived in the harbor. We spontaneously divided our food among 5 people and then admired the other boats and had a great evening together. That's how it should be. And then there was even a self-built boat coming in with the goal of the Black Sea, unbelievable.
