In the north of Moscow, there is a small forest, Lianozovsky Forest. On Tscherepowezkaja Street, my gaze is drawn from the trees to the vintage pale pink mansion from the beginning of the 20th century. In 1998, thanks to the efforts of enthusiasts, the Museum of the Creativity of Konstantin Vasilyev opened in the former weekend house of Lianosov, which later became the Vasilyev Museum of Slavic Culture.
The talented artist Konstantin Alekseevich Vasilyev lived a short but extremely rich life of creation. He left behind about 400 works that are now preserved in the museum collections of Moscow, Kolomna, Kazan, and in private collections. Fame came to him after his death. The mystery of his decline has not yet been revealed, whether he was hit by a train or intentionally murdered. The latter assumption is more likely.
