Tag 19: Boya Lake (Tā Ch’ilā Park): Canoeing on the most beautiful lake in Canada

Rest day - and it turns out I overslept completely. I look out the window - blue sky and sunshine - then at the clock: 9:30! 😱 Ohh, already so late?

So I quickly get up!

For breakfast, we have pancakes, then we walk the Lakeshore Trail, which starts at the northern end of the campground, by the turnaround. We practically walk all the way across the campground and can take a look at the other sites, including the reservable sites, for which there are no photos online:

(In retrospect: according to the reservation plan from BC Parks, Site 26 is actually not by the water....🤔)

The trail starts next to Site 33 and is 1.5 km long. Unfortunately, clouds have obscured the sun again and the lake shows little of its beautiful turquoise color, but we do see nice reflections in the crystal-clear water.
