Day 9 Lofoten-Bodo

MIVOAKA: 26.08.2020

Today, mixed weather was forecasted and it was exactly like that. It was mostly dry, but there were also occasional light showers. The first stop was the drive to A. The village with the probably shortest name is located at the very end or at the very beginning of the Lofoten, depending on where you come from.

It was a wonderful drive there. The pictures speak a clearer language than I can.

Unfortunately, there are only 2 ferries that leave the Lofoten from there towards the mainland. One at 7:00 in the morning and the second at 8:30 in the evening. I decided to take the evening ferry because I don't like getting up so early.

Since I didn't have a ticket, I had to be at the pier an hour earlier. But everything went well.

There was a funny fearless motorcyclist from Monaco who prepared fresh popcorn in the middle of the queue to satisfy his hunger. As it was very windy and the cover of his pot consisted only of aluminum foil, popcorn was constantly flying around, which amused the other passengers and the seagulls found it a nice change on their menu. But he confirmed to me that he had enough of it.

During the 3 1/4-hour crossing, I booked the Radisson Blue in Bodo for one night. It is one of the few hotels there that still have someone at the reception at midnight.

What a mishap! Glasses wearers know what I'm talking about. While cleaning my glasses, I suddenly had a temple in my hand that should have stayed on the glasses. Broken, shi....

Since this is a progressive lens glasses and I need them to comply with the speed limit, I have to look for a solution the next morning.
