MIVOAKA: 29.06.2023
It's finally starting😀 it's Monday, 26.06.23 at around 8:30 a.m. Short honk when driving off and off we go in the direction of the motorway with the destination Blåvand / Denmark. After about 1.5 hours I arrived at the border. The clouds became more and more and it must have rained pretty hard for 1 hour. At the moment everyone is happy about rain but not when I have to drive. After almost 4 hours I arrived at my destination. I'll stay with Judith & her family for the next two days. It was really nice, we were on the beach, had a barbecue, played football with Janis, ate soft ice cream or just chilled on the lounger and chatted a lot. The time flew by far too quickly. Unfortunately, I got a sore throat, a slight cough and a headache over the course of Monday.
On Wednesday, June 28th After breakfast I went to Fyn, more precisely to Frørup. The trip went via Kolding, over the Ny Lillebaeltsbro bridge in the direction of Odense and further on to nowhere in Frørup.
Here is my campsite until Sunday. I'm standing directly overlooking the sea and the beautiful view of the bridges in Nyborg. There are sheep right in front of me and a few meters away are some goats. For me as a city kid, of course sensational.
Actually, I wanted to cycle a few kilometers every day in beautiful Funenland. Actually... it's always different.. it started on Monday with a sore throat, coughing, etc. and hasn't gotten much better until today, it's actually gotten a little worse. So I'm good and reasonable and just lazy around all day. Read, sleep, watch series, drink a lot of tea so that I can recover quickly. I'm so good at doing nothing, namely NOT.
The only negative highlight of what happened here is very, very scary. In the evening, when dusk sets in, they come from wherever the "mutant moths" come from. You can't imagine. Thousands of these creatures keep banging on the Womo. Try to get into the mobile home via the skylights. At first I thought it was raining heavily on the roof. Looking out the safe window from the inside, no rain, but these critters were flying and buzzing everywhere. As soon as it is completely dark it stops. According to my neighbors, this happens every evening (if I understood correctly with their very heavy Saxon accent, but otherwise they are very nice and try to make sure I understand them too).
There are even some who run out and look at it from the outside because they couldn't believe what was happening and yell because they were attacked by these critters (I thought I was pretty brave but I had my pants full. At least I had Cindy in the time on the phone and she had to listen to my screaming and I think she was even more scared than me) (Cindy's note: Steffi held her phone and camera down during her heroic act and ran and breathed scared. I felt strong reminiscent of the Blair Witch Project...).
Since there is really nothing here, the nearest supermarket etc. is 14 km away, I will probably make my way to Copenhagen on Saturday instead of Sunday. I'll go there and explore the city. My accommodation is about 10 minutes by bike from the city. Unfortunately you can't reserve, according to the website there is always something free. We will see.
Until then I will be healthy again and provide you with new impressions and pictures.
While I'm writing all this and sitting outside in a deck chair, I'm constantly being bitten by flies ( whether you realize that I'm a city kid, definitely not or... )
In this sense
