So we're on the road with a planner and always good music, mostly dry and beautiful weather. As soon as we finish our day, the rain comes🤟
Our travel rhythm is relatively simple. We camp wild for 3-4 days, then warm up and refill water at a campsite.
After more than a week, we have reached the northernmost point of the British mainland in Dunnet Head💪
We will, however, spend the night in John o 'Groats.
Unfortunately, it was already too late for Orkney with the planner, the ferry times for this year with the planner are over😏
Our half-finished for the first half of the journey:
We can recommend Scotland to everyone! There is a lot of exciting and mystical things to see, and the nature is very impressive with its many happy animals in the large pastures.
Since we meet fewer and fewer civilian people these days, the stories are also a bit lacking🤷♂️
Once on the road, as often... we passed by this stone.
Portknockie
The special thing is that the sun will never shine through this rectangular opening in the stone all year round. Still, very impressive!
At another place, another northern tip, we found a great spot for the bonfire that we lit and once again hoped for whales, dolphins, and northern lights... unfortunately nothing, but a daring dessert instead.
One wish both of us have at the moment is a camping or fancy hotel with a SAUNA, but sauna seems to be a foreign word here... cya
