In addition to the many trips to the surrounding area of Naples, we also explored the city itself. We only planned one day for this because the city was too noisy and hectic for us, and we were also slowly heading back home. The traffic in Naples is really insane. Besides the constant traffic jam, cars honking constantly as a matter of principle, countless scooter drivers, all the streets are basically always overcrowded and you can see a small accident every 5 minutes. Luckily, we only encountered a small scratch in the traffic. Where one lane is designated, 2-3 lanes are opened in principle, right-of-way rules don't work at all because otherwise one lane would always be disadvantaged and could never drive, and honking is always heard everywhere. Even when it's red or when there is no apparent reason. The traffic was definitely an adventure. And a real challenge.
Other than that, we strolled through the city center a bit, visited 'important' buildings, and observed the construction of the metro.
