AbgeFARN: Karon

Today, with heavy hearts, we had to leave our beautiful bay at Tjärö and make our way towards Karlskrona to easily catch the train there on Sunday.

On the way, we made a stop at the island Karön. It's not very busy here, just a small pier with a few mooring spots for sailboats, a nice beach (but unfortunately the water is still too cold), and a restaurant. But what there is in abundance here is FERN. The plant grows everywhere on the rocks and has taken over the whole island, it feels like. The vegetation is beautiful, we took the hiking trail once and it was wonderful.

On the opposite side is Swedish mainland and another big harbor where you can easily find available spots even in the peak season. But we preferred staying on the island.

Tomorrow we will have the last stop on the way to Karlskrona.
