We had a great sleep on our first night. It blends in well with our lovely room. The breakfast at the hotel is also very appealing. Well, especially I’m a bit relieved 😅. A good breakfast is the perfect way to start the day.
The hotel offers a shuttle service (to and from) to various meeting points. What a nice service! Of course, we took advantage of it and headed to the adjacent district “Waterfront”. It's probably the quintessential tourist area.
There, we wandered around a bit and had a delicious meal at the restaurant “Den Anker” - with a view of Table Mountain and Lion's Head.
When we left the restaurant, someone waved to us very excitedly. We just thought to ourselves, who is that? He said they were just about to leave with the catamaran and encouraged us to join them 😆. We could also pay later. Many questions remained unanswered - no time - where it should go, etc. … but it didn’t matter, we just went on board. Elisa was the driving force behind it 😁
It was the perfect decision, as it turned out. We set off and were immediately handed two free drinks. The crew was really cool. The goal was to head into the Atlantic Ocean and along the coast of Cape Town. The view of Cape Town was already quite nice 😃. But what was especially remarkable was this: A whole pod of dolphins came right to us and swam alongside us. They were just next to us - maybe two meters away 😅. It was truly amazing. It was as if they had said “Hello” and “We’re on the same journey, let’s swim together” 😁👍🏻
I asked the crew if this was something common or very special. The captain said it was very special... Yeah, yeah, I just asked how many times he had said that today 😁. But based on the crew's reactions, we could tell that it really was special, as they were taking lots of videos and were just as excited as we were 👍🏻 ... After the trip, we naturally went to the beach to pay. They looked at us a bit puzzled and thanked us for our willingness to pay. If we wanted, we could have just left 😅🙈. Anyway, we really enjoyed this tour and happily returned to the hotel 😊
Good night 😴
