Beach walk in Khao Lak

What would a vacation in Khao Lak be without a beach walk? It's really great here because the beaches are kilometers long and often deserted.

Beaches in Khao Lak

Khao Lak has several sections of beach. Here are the names:

- Nang Thong Beach with Sunset Beach

- Bang Niang Beach

- Khuk Khak Beach with sections Coral Cape, White Sand Beach, Bangsak, and Pak Weep

We didn't visit all the beaches. We walked the entire Nang Thong Beach and visited the White Sand Beach.

Beach section to the left of the hotel

Our hotel was located on Nang Thong Beach. A beach walk to our left led us towards Sunset Beach, passing several hotels. However, you can't go very far because this beach ends at a mountain. After about 20 minutes, we had to turn back.

We then continued to the right of the hotel towards Bang Niang Beach. However, before reaching this beach, you have to walk the entire Nang Thong Beach. Along the way, we passed a few hotels for the first few hundred meters, but eventually, it was all an undeveloped beach, almost all to ourselves. We also passed the beautiful Lah Own Bay. During our walk, it started to cloud over and lightly rain. Not very heavy and not for very long, so it didn't bother us much.

Here was the end of the line for us, unfortunately, the river had too much water to cross. We spent some more time on the secluded beach before hunger and the need to pee led us back to our hotel ;)

We spent a whole day at the White Sand Beach. There will be a separate report about that.
