Today was actually still a good day for hiking, and a shorter and easier hike had been planned, but our bodies did not want to tackle any elevation gain or distance after yesterday's tour. Therefore, we decided to take a leisurely tourist day to explore some nearby places at a relaxed pace. We started in Wolkenstein, which is characterized by many beautiful houses, hotels, and a well-maintained promenade. The bridges and houses are brightly adorned with plants, and due to the frequent rain, including last night, everything is blooming abundantly. Noticeable are the many shops of woodcarvers. The hotel 'Oswald' is also located in the town center. Next, we took a stroll through Sankt Ulrich, another lovely vacation spot. Kastelruth was the last stop for our leisurely walk; it is said to be one of the prettiest villages in South Tyrol. We weren't too convinced, even though the 'Kastelruther Sparrows' are present everywhere, whether as sculptures in the town center or as posters and music. Yes, you can relax and stroll in all the towns, eat, drink, and always enjoy the backdrop of the mountain panorama. Let's see if the heavy rain actually comes tomorrow?
