Camping Rives d’Arc

First full day in the Ardeche. We caught the free bus down to the Le Pont d'Arc, the archway in the pictures. This is a bit of a focal point, but not too busy and beautiful, with a sandy section either side of the arch where people, and dogs, swim. We all had a dip, except Betsy of course!

We had a drink at a cafe and also ordered takeaway sandwiches that we ate on the beach. Aside from a woman who didn’t like dogs letting us know (I think she was slightly put out we had the audacity to bring our dog to the  water) and another who thought Winnie had pooed near her family’s towels (I said it’s a wee, and said oui oui, so I’m not sure we’d ever have communicated), we had a lovely time. We had another drink at the same cafe waiting for the bus back and once on camp, booked another night, because it is lovely here and also it means we then travel again on a Monday.
