This weekend we went to Blankenburg in Silvia's hometown, her brother celebrated his 80th birthday.
This weekend there were again some new experiences, on the one hand it was the longest trip so far, on the other hand it was the first time without electricity.
On Saturday, shortly after arriving in Blankenburg, Kurt's birthday was on the program where we spent a cozy evening with very good food at the Hüsy restaurant.
On Sunday, we woke up with about 10 cm of snow, which disappeared again during the day. After a hearty breakfast and a walk, we enjoyed the day in Blankenburg.
On Monday, we invited Kurt and Ute to have breakfast with us in the motorhome and as a 'surprise', Simone and Dani visited us. After breakfast, we all drove together to Saanen where we first walked through the village. Then we walked to Gstaad.
And just like that, the Bernese Oberland weekend was over. On the way home, we made a detour to Yvonne's to toast her birthday.
What we didn't know yet on this weekend, but unfortunately came true, is that this was the last big trip with our beloved Tyson.
